José Azeredo Lopes is the next guest speaker of the SEAL Group and Católica Porto Business School
The SEAL Group, in partnership with Católica Porto Business School, promotes on the next 24th of March the 3rd edition of Beyond Business, an initiative that will take place in a lunch-debate format, allowing a close interaction between the guest and the participants that gathers leaders, executives and members of the academic community for a moment of reflection, networking and debate about the major themes that mark current affairs.
After the first two editions, which addressed themes related to artificial intelligence and art, the next meeting will feature the presence of José Azeredo Lopes, CNN Commentator, Associate Professor at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and former Minister of National Defense.
A reflection on “The World Upside Down”
Under the motto “The World Upside Down”, José Azeredo Lopes will share an analysis about some of the major transformations that are redesigning the international landscape, from current geopolitical tensions to the new balances of power and the social paradoxes that characterize our time. In a global context marked by strategic uncertainty, regional conflicts, technological changes and the redefinition of international relations, this conversation aims to offer a critical and multidisciplinary reading about the challenges that political, business and institutional leaders face today.
A space for dialogue between academia and leadership
The Beyond Business initiative is born precisely with this purpose: to create an informal and inspiring space where academia, companies and leaders can cross perspectives and discuss ideas that help to understand and anticipate the future. Throughout the various editions, and according to Sérgio Almeida, Founder of the SEAL Group “the program has gathered guests from different areas, from politics to economy, from international strategy to organizational leadership, reinforcing the importance of dialogue between academic knowledge and practical experience”.
The partnership between the SEAL Group and the Católica Porto Business School thus continues to reinforce the commitment to promote critical thinking, informed leadership and strategic debate about the major themes that shape the future of organizations and society.
